The prompt at OSI this week is "romance." Who better to write about with that prompt but my parents. In cleaning out my mom's dresser this past spring, I came across a box of letters my dad had written from his trip to Europe sometime after he and my mom had started dating. They were filled with his hopes and dreams for their relationship and happily, many of those came true for them. My parents were always so thoughtful to each other and it was very evident in how they treated each other through their lives. So here's to long-lasting"Romance!"
Believing that my parents loved
And cared about each other was
Really easy to see. They were
Bound by
A quest for a wonderful,
Rewarding life
And did what they could to fulfill their dreams
&
Realizing their love for one another
Including their love for travel and entertaining, they
Created an idyllic life for each other and their children
Happy to spend their time, talents,
And passions on others.
Reminiscing about their lives, they were
Dearly loved by each other and those who knew them
Believing that my parents loved
And cared about each other was
Really easy to see. They were

Reminds me of my parents. After my mom died, we found the most romantic letters my dad wrote to her while he was stationed in the Navy.
